Elizabeth Lara

Elizabeth returns to Amistad after being part of our TICA after-school program in 2024–2025. She brings more than a decade of experience teaching young learners in New York, Florida, and Seattle, with a Master of Arts in TESOL K–12 Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and Washington State certification with endorsements in English Language Learner and Elementary Education. Fluent in Spanish, she began her career as a kindergarten teacher in the New York City Public Schools and most recently supported students with diverse learning needs at the University Child Development School. She also leads our TICA after-school program alongside two interns from the University of Washington.
