Clubs & Creative Arts
Beyond the daily bilingual curriculum, Amistad students explore their interests and make things together — through student-led clubs, community expeditions, and the art, music, and movement woven through the week.
Student interest groups
Clubs shift each term based on what students are curious about and what talents our teachers and families bring. Past and upcoming offerings include arts and crafts, coding, outdoor games, board games, and bilingual book clubs.
Community expeditions
Service projects are woven through the grades, giving every age a way to contribute to the community around them.
Before and after school

Creative Arts
Music and movement
Songs, rhythm, and movement show up throughout the bilingual day — in circle time with our youngest learners, in classroom transitions, and in the weekly practice of Capoeira, which pairs music with movement and community. Music gives students a joyful, low-pressure way to practice vocabulary, pronunciation, and rhythm in both languages.
Creative Arts
Hands on art
Drawing, painting, and hands-on projects let students make their thinking visible. Whether it's illustrating a story they've written in Spanish or building a model for a science unit, art is a natural extension of the bilingual, project-based classroom.

Capoeira as art and culture
Capoeira holds a special place at Amistad. As an Afro-Brazilian tradition that blends movement, music, and history, it gives students a living connection to a culture beyond their own — and it builds coordination, discipline, and confidence along the way.
As with every part of Amistad Life, the arts are here to support the whole child — not to replace the rigor of the bilingual academic program, but to give it more ways to come alive.
