Seattle Amistad School is an independent bilingual school in Seattle. We educate children from 12 months through 8th grade in Spanish and English — and along the way, we build a community families return to year after year.

Amistad was founded on the conviction that children should never have to trade their language and culture for an excellent education.

The school today
Where We Are Today
Amistad is an independent bilingual school in Seattle serving children from 12 months through 8th grade. Classes are small, teachers are native and near-native Spanish speakers, and every child is known by name.
Enrollment is growing across the elementary grades, our language model runs from 90/10 in the earliest years to a balanced 50/50 by upper elementary, and subsidies and financial aid keep this education within reach for families across the city.
