Animation and Game Design

Game Design Program for 4th- 8th-grade students aims to teach foundational skills in 2D game development through hands-on coding and creative design.

Over 8 weeks, students will learn programming concepts such as sprite movement, conditionals, and input controls while creating their characters, backgrounds, and game mechanics.

The program includes a mini-game challenge based on retro ’80s designs and culminates in a final project where students develop their unique 2D games.

Students will showcase their projects to parents, demonstrating their technical skills and creativity.

This program fosters problem-solving, collaboration, and digital literacy, preparing students for future tech opportunities.
