Seattle Amistad offers special after school clubs in order to give kids the opportunity to explore different activities that are not covered in our morning schedule or that we just want to let them enjoy for more time. After school clubs are taught by volunteers, Amistad’s teachers or parents, and other contractors.
Clubs are available for all kids at Amistad, either they are enrolled or not in after school care. Schedule and activities change every quarter. Amistad is committed to offer a variety of activities to nurture many of the interests of our kids.
Very limited scholarship is available. Please contact the office for opportunities.
This program is designed to intentionally create the space that will allow children the opportunity to excercise their natural born gift to care and share love. The purpose is to help develop the human spirit in a way that is positively impactful to all inhabitants of our earth. Our earth is in desperate need of human beings that are filled with love, compassion, and respoect and it is a necessity that we begin to have our children intentionally be given the space, the tools and the support to do this.
The mail focus is on Human Spirit Development. We will provide the space, the facilitator of experential learning, the tools and the opportunities for the children to experience by excercising this way of being.

Yoga for Young Yogis
Teacher Camille is founder of VivaLaYoga, a company that offers yoga classes for kids, teens, twins and their adults. She developed a curriculum of yoga for kids based on scientific research and their own experience working with kids and teens. From her website: " The benefits that kids and teens stand to gain from a yoga and mindfulness practice are plentiful and vastly important. Giving our youngest generations the tools for self-acceptance, emotional regulation, kindness to self and others, and a solid connection to their minds and bodies is an invaluable gift"

Art Class with Shelly
Art Class is a space where our young artists get their creativity to shine. This quarter in art we will be analyzing the styles of many influential artists, some well known and some that are not. A message from Shelly: "Please send your kiddo with an art shirt/smock/apron because art is messy fun! I will be providing snack- but if your artist gets extra hungry, please provide an additional snack for them!"
